Owner, Jackie Ferguson always had a love for horses, she would often be found in the barn caring for the horses, mucking stalls, riding, or giving pony rides in her early days. In 2011 Jackie attended Centenary College and graduated in 2015, earning Cum Laude Honors and three Bachelor of Science degrees -Accounting, Business Administration with a focus in Marketing, and Equine Studies with concentrations in Equine Science and Equine Business Management.

 

Throughout college Jackie worked with several top trainers in the tri-state area as well as European professionals in the eventing and hunter/jumper industry, she was also given several opportunities to ride. In 2013 Jackie qualified for the USHJA's Horsemanship Quiz Finals which ran with EAP Finals, finishing in the top 10 individually and the top 15 on her Zone 2 team. She qualified for a second year in 2014. During college Jackie wanted to further her education in the barn, holding temporary and long-term positions where she provided impeccable care to the horses just as if they were her own, proved to be effective with communicating with clients and owners, and her reliability and honesty always shined through to her work. Upon graduating Jackie worked for HITS Horse Shows as a Horse Show Secretary traveling to the shows HITS manages including Thermal, Culpeper, Ocala, and Saugerties. Jackie then moved on to a Head Grooming position of 12 show horses at a facility in New York, performing most of the daily care at the shows, tacking and preparing horses for their owners, organizing and packing, and completing office work at the horse shows. Most recently Jackie has spent time grooming for a Grand Prix rider and customers, gaining experience with higher level jumpers and FEI horses. Jackie currently owns three horses.  In her spare time she enjoys taking her young horses out to gain experience as well as show her Adult jumper, she also has a strong interest in breeding.

 

Jackie's wide expertise and knowledge in business and equine care and performance have allowed her to form her own, Ferguson Equine Transport LLC. She operates with the safest and highest quality equipment in the industry. Jackie has high standards and priorities when it comes to the horses in her care.
